Eurovision Song Contest honored as the first event in Austria with AUVA quality seal
It is the largest TV entertainment event in the world: The Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna not only attracts hundreds of millions of viewers to the screens, but also represents a logistical masterpiece behind the scenes. The major event at Vienna's Stadthalle has now been awarded the AUVA quality seal „Safe and healthy working“ as the first event in Austria.
A stress test for occupational safety
Where the spotlight shines, hard work is done: for weeks, countless various trades were in action at the event location - from stage construction to lighting and sound technology to logistics. The special challenge lay in the tight scheduling, massive time pressure, and coordination of an international team that brought different national standards to a common denominator.
To safely navigate this complexity, AUVA experts were already on-site beforehand and throughout the entire setup phase. During intensive inspections, it was ensured that the high Austrian prevention standards were seamlessly integrated into the processes of the mega-event.

The AUVA quality seal „Safe and healthy working“ is awarded to companies and now, for the first time, to an event that not only fulfills legal employee protection but exceeds it through systematic occupational safety management. It is a visible sign of a lived prevention culture.
