"Vienna Calling – Who sings for Austria?" with a total of 1.3 million viewers on ORF 1

Successful live show crowned COSMÓ as Austria's representative for the ESC in Vienna

Since yesterday, Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:14 PM, it has been decided who will represent Austria in the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna: With his song „TANZSCHEIN,“ COSMÓ emerged as the big winner in "Vienna Calling – Who's Singing for Austria?", the ORF-1 live show for the national ESC pre-selection.

Together with the eleven other acts, the 19-year-old from Burgenland celebrated Austrian musical diversity on ORF – and local music fans joined in the celebration: A total of 1.313 million viewers, accounting for 17 percent of the Austrian TV population aged twelve and over (widest audience), tuned in to one of the three broadcasts of "Vienna Calling – Who sings for Austria?„ starting at 8:15 PM “The Show„ (8:15 PM) was watched by up to 534,000 and averaged 457,000 with a market share of 20 percent. “The Voting„ (10:55 PM) was not missed by 470,000 (30 percent market share). “The Party" (11:20 PM) was celebrated by 258,000 viewers, with the market share reaching 20 percent.

"Vienna Calling – Who sings for Austria?" was also successful with the young audience, with 45 percent (12–29) and 37 percent (12–49) participating in the voting.

The international audience had the opportunity to watch „The Show“ and „The Voting“ via live stream on the official Eurovision YouTube channel (@EurovisionSongContest). On the official Eurovision YouTube channel (@EurovisionSongContest) and on ORF ON, "Vienna Calling – Who sings for Austria?" is still available.
